The purpose of the collective bargaining agreement is to ensure quality support for the target population of the services concerned, to ensure coordinated working and pay conditions, and to safeguard social peace at the level of the undertaking and of the profession. This threefold purpose can only be achieved on condition that this collective bargaining agreement is declared of general obligation in accordance with the relevant legal provisions. This collective bargaining agreement for employees of the care and social sectors repeals and replaces any previous collective bargaining agreement. Nevertheless, in the event of a dispute relating to the interpretation of this collective bargaining agreement for employees of the care and social sectors, the repealed collective bargaining agreements are consulted in order to reconstruct the spirit of the disputed provision
